The Perfume Extracts News Perfumer's guide
For the first time, D'ORSAY unveils 3 Perfume Extracts imagined by great perfumers.
The Excerpt from Perfume, also known as Parfum or Perfume Essence, is the purest and most concentrated form of a fragrance. Often, just a few drops are enough to keep the scent lingering all day or even for a few days.
From the beginning of modern perfumery in the late 19th century to the 1950s, Perfume Extracts have been a staple. These were the original creations of the Master Perfumer, intended to be worn in the evening as a final touch of feminine elegance. Lighter versions, such as Eaux de Toilette, designed for morning wear, were developed by laboratory assistants, based on the original formula.
In the 1970s, perfume houses began to develop new concentrations, giving rise to Eau de Parfum, an alternative aimed at circumventing the new taxation applied to Extracts. Modern or timeless, Perfume Extracts are worn today like a fine stone, above all for personal hedonism.
Designed around an overdose of raw material to seduce, each D'ORSAY Perfume Extract is concentrated at more than 30%, revealing their intensity from the first notes and unfolding in a deep trail.
Tonka Bean, with Tonka Hysteria , Ylang Ylang, with Flower Lust and Incense, with Incense Crush are at the center of the first three parts of these new D'ORSAY Perfume Extracts.
