Private: Meet the aesthete Anne-Sophie Behaghel, perfumer at FLAIR studio. Interviews
“I would love to make a moon-scented fragrance”, Anne-Sophie Behaghel, perfumer.
What is your strongest olfactory memory?
When my parents used to leave the house, they would always kiss me beforehand and there were these strong scents of the perfume they had just put on: Parure & Habits Rouge.
Do you wear a D’Orsay fragrance?
Yes I do ! My favorite at the moment is O.W. (Editor’s note: “C’est toujours agréable d’être attendu. O.W.”) which is truly magnificent.
What does this fragrance represent to you?
Modernity.
What is the craziest declaration that has been made to you?
A marriage proposal on a boat, and I said yes!
What is the most unusual place you have ever been asked on a date?
A broomstick cupboard. Very nice.
What scent would you like to make into a fragrance?
I would love to make a moon-scented fragrance.
Perfume & Seduction: Does this sound still relevant to you?
Yes. More than ever. Personally, I never go out without spraying some perfume on.
I think the seduction can be achieved through the eyes too, the mask is not a complete hindrance.
Tell us about a moment in your life when you wished for time to stop and that it would last forever?
A trip, a cruise on an old dhow in Madagascar. Magic.
Your favorite time of the day?
In the evening, to have a drink.
Plans for 2021?
Great projects for D’ORSAY.
